Planning commission grants gas-related approvals

A few conditional preliminary approvals, all connected to the natural gas industry, were granted by the Susquehanna County Planning Commission at the June 29 meeting.

Gas Search Drilling Services is looking to tear down about half of the Brunges Pallet Mill to make room for a parking lot at the site.
The planning commission granted the preliminary approval on the condition that some additions are made to the submitted map. Gas Search also needs to submit a driveway permit and an approved erosion and sediment control plan to meet the commission’s requirements.
Chief Oil and Gas was granted conditional preliminary approval for the construction of two compressor stations, one on the Elwood and Edith Korban property in Lathrop Twp. and the other on the Brendan Teel property in Springville.
The preliminary approval was granted conditional on corrective maps being submitted to the commission.
