Montrose

The Montrose Area girls’ soccer team took a 1-0 win over Elk Lake on Tuesday afternoon at home.

Amelia DiPhillips scored the lone goal at 13:04 in the first half, unassisted.

In the game, Montrose had 17 shots on goal and three corners while goalie Katelyn Spellman had six save on goal.

Elk Lake’s Katie Mitchell had 10 saves on goal while Elk Lake took 11 shots on goal and two corners.

Mountain View

Mountain View’s Lady Eagle soccer team tied a game 1-1 with Forest City on the road on Thursday.

After two overtimes, the Foresters and Eagles stayed tied in the Division II matchup.

Mary Sullivan scored off an Alyssa Borick pass to score at 21:04 in the first half to make it a 1-0 Forester game.

However, in the second half at 50:52, Taylor Brainard knocked in an unassisted goal for the Eagles to tie the game up.

Mountain View had 10 shots on goal and two corners while goalie Cody Tague had eight saves.

The Foresters had eight shots on goal and four corners and goalie Katie Yale notched six saves on the day.
