Mountain View

Mountain View’s girls’ soccer team grabbed a 6-1 home victory over Mid Valley on Friday.

Sarah Pulice scored at 20:20, Megan Walker scored off an assist from Alex Taylor at 22:14, and jenny Molenko scored with an assist from Walker at 27:40 to quickly put the Eagles up 3-0.

Taylor would add a goal at 28:10 to bring it to 4-0 at the half.

In second half action, Molenko  got scoring started at 46:33 before Mid Valley’s Erika Symons scored a goal at 48:11 to make it 5-1.

However, Mountain Views Morgan Zrowka scored with an assist from Megan Getz at 55:06 to make it 6-1.

Mountain View had 31 shots on goal and four corners while goalie Caity Tague had two saves. 

Elk Lake

Elk Lake’s girls’ soccer team faced a 4-1 loss from Lakeland at home on Friday.

The Warriors saw Lakeland get ahead with two first period goals, before Kenzi Moon scored with an assist from Taylor Watkins at 10:34 to make it 2-1 at the half.

However, Lakeland’s Hannah Tuffy scored three unanswered second half goals to take the win.

Elk Lake had six shots on goal and no corners while goalie Katie Mitchell racked up 15 saves.

Montrose

Montrose Area’s girls’ soccer team faced a 2-0 loss from Lakeland on the road on Wednesday.

Lakeland’s Hannah Tuffy scored goals in each of the first and second halves to take the victory over the Meteors.

Montrose took 12 shots on goal and had two corner kicks while goalie Katelyn Spellman racked up 19 saves on goal.

Forest City

Forest City’s girls soccer team took a 6-0 victory from Dunmore’s Bucks on the road on Saturday.

Mary Sullivan scored first with an assist from Meagan Goben at 28 minutes before Carly Erdmann added a goal with an assist from Alyssa Borick at 30 minutes to end the half at 2-0.

In the second half, Goben scored first with an assist from Sullivan at 42 minutes before Jessica Gigliotti would score with an assist from Kylie Borick at 45 minutes.

Sullivan then added another goal with an assist from Katie Yale, and Yale then scored a goal of her own assisted by Taylor Tammero at 79 minutes to take the win.

Forest City had 26 shots on goal and two corners while Yale had four saves on goal.
