Forest City

Forest City’s girls’ volleyball team grabbed a 3-0 victory over Susquehanna at home on Tuesday night.

In the first game, Forest City won 25-13 before grabbing a 25-14 win in the second game to make it quickly, 2-0.

The Foresters then finished off the Sabers with a 25-21 victory in the final game.

Jessica Strickland had six kills and eight digs and Kiersten Collins had two aces, six kills, one assist and four digs.

Cree Townsend had three aces, six kills and two digs and Courtney Andrews had one ace, 13 assists and one dig.

For Susquehanna, Kelly Burke and Mary Kemmer each had three kills for Susquehanna.

Blue Ridge

The Blue Ridge girls’ volleyball team faced a 3-1 loss from Western Wayne on the road Thursday after it took a 3-0 victory over Montrose at home on Tuesday.

Facing Western Wayne, the Raiders took a 25-15 win in the first game, before falling 25-16 in the second game, 25-22 in the third and 25-14 in the fourth to take the loss.

Ashley Warren had five assists, four kills and one block for Blue Ridge.

In the first game, Blue Ridge grabbed a 25-17 win over the Meteors before topping them 25-12 in the second game.

Blue Ridge then finished off the Meteors with a 25-14 victory in the final game.

Lexa Smith had four kills and Ashley Warren had eight kills and nine assists. Kaylie Ragard had five kills and two blocks and Kaitlin Krug had two kills and four aces for the Raiders.

Sarah Feeney had four aces and two digs, Marissa Robinson had three aces, four digs and five assists and Katie Volk had five kills and two blocks for Montrose.

Mountain View

Mountain View’s girls’ volleyball team picked up a 3-0 shutout win from Montrose on the road on Thursday.

The Eagles started off with a 25-17 win in the first game before making it 2-0 with a 25-14 win in the second game.

Mountain View then finished off the Meteors with a 25-21 win in the final game.

Kayla Kazmierski had eight kills and Christina Voorheis had 13 assists to lead Mountain View to the win. Alex Lynn posted five kills and Brittany Ressiguie had five aces for the Lady Eagles.

Marissa Robinson had five assists and seven digs and Sarah Krupinski had four aces and four kills for Montrose. Brittany Hartman added three kills and two digs.

Susquehanna

Susquehanna’s girls’ volleyball team took a 3-2 win over Elk Lake’s Warriors at home on Thursday evening.

The Sabers fell 25-22 to Elk Lake in the first game before they would take a 25-15 win in the second game to make it 1-1.

In the third game, Elk Lake fell 25-10 to the Sabers to give them a 2-1 lead, however, the Warriors fought back with a 25-15 win in the fourth game to make it 2-2.

But it was Susquehanna that prevailed as the team took a 16-14 win in the final game to bring home the victory.

Kaitlyn Halesky had six kills and five aces to help the Lady Sabers while Kelly Burke had four kills, four aces and five assists for Susquehanna.

Chelsea Karabin led Elk Lake with 10 digs, five aces and 13 service points while Carley Bennett had six kills.

Elk Lake

Elk Lake’s girls’ volleyball team faced a 3-1 loss from Lackawanna Trail at home on Tuesday evening.

Trail took a 25-11 win in the first game, before notching a 25-13 win in the second to hold a 2-0 lead over the Warriors.

However, Elk Lake battled back to a 25-20 win in the third game to make it 3-1, but the Lions would prevail with a 25-14 win in the final game.

For Elk Lake, Chelsea Karabin had six assists, 11 digs and two aces while Carley Bennett added seven kills, two blocks and four digs.
