Elk Lake’s girls’ soccer team took a 2-0 win over Holy Cross in the District II Class A playoffs on Tuesday to advance to the semifinals.
Elk Lake scored with a goal from Olivia Lauderman at 10:09 in the first half with an assist from Taylor Watkins to lead 1-0 at the half.
In second half action, Carolyn Teetsel scored off an assist from Watkins to put the Warriors up 2-0 at 64:32 where they would stay to take the shutout victory.
Elk Lake had 13 shots on goal and two corners while goalie Katie Mitchell had 11 saves.
