A police tip led to the apprehension Wednesday, Nov. 17, of the third person wanted in connection with the Oct. 29 burglary of Reddon’s Pharmacy, Susquehanna. Nearly $100,000 worth of prescription pills was taken in the heist.
Jerrod Decker, 24, Hallstead, was discovered by county probation officers in an apartment in Susquehanna.
Decker was arraigned before Judge Jeffrey Hollister in Montrose District Court. Bail was set at $100,000 or 10 percent cash equivalent.
He faces felony charges of burglary; criminal conspiracy; theft; receiving stolen property; and drug possession with intent to deliver.
A preliminary hearing scheduled for Monday in District Court, New Milford, was continued.
In addition to Decker, Darryl Chaffee, 36, Scranton, is also facing charges in Susquehanna County.
Chaffee was arrested by authorities in Broome County, N.Y., on Nov. 4, and remanded to the Broome County Jail. No bail was set.
Chaffee faces two felony drug charges in Broome County, in addition to the burglary and related charges lodged Nov. 9 in Susquehanna County. He has not yet been arraigned in Susquehanna County.
Also facing charges related to the heist is Annie Chaffee, 32, Hallstead. She was taken into custody Nov. 9 on a probation violation and remanded to the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility.
Annie Chaffee has been charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and receiving stolen property.
She was arraigned Monday in New Milford District Court and is being held on $5,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing scheduled for Monday, Nov. 22, before Judge Peter Janicelli was continued.
