A New York man died Saturday in a crash on Interstate 81 in Susquehanna County.

Kenneth E. Banner Jr., 32, of Cortland, N.Y., was driving a Dodge Caliber north in Lenox Township at 4:55 p.m. when he veered left off the road onto a grass median and then back onto the road, state police at Gibson said.

Banner’s vehicle then flipped and continued to roll before stopping upright on the berm.

The vehicle sustained severe damage, police said, and Banner was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been wearing a seat belt.
