Mt. View directors change meeting time

BY ROBERT L. BAKER

The Mountain View School Board is cutting back its public meetings by half in the New Year and also making them an hour earlier.

Starting in January, the board will have one public voting meeting at 7 p.m. the third Monday of the month and one public work session the second Monday of the month.

The board had been conducting voting meetings the second and fourth Monday of the month starting at 8 p.m.

The board re-elected James Zick as president and Ellen Aherne as first vice president. Dava Rinehart-Cowan was elected second vice president and replaces Kevin Griffith who did not seek reelection.

No appointments of standing committees were made. Zick said he would take recommendations by the time of the next school board meeting Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. in the board room of the elementary school.
