Choconut senior housing nears completion

Choconut Creek Apartments, new senior housing just off Rt. 267 in Choconut, is nearing completion and should be ready for occupancy in February. The 24-unit complex was developed by the First Ward Action Council of Binghamton with Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency money, following local meetings four years ago that suggested a need for housing for low-income seniors.

Lori Sedlock of First Ward Action Council, Binghamton, shares some details Thursday about new senior housing about to open in Choconut with Diane Koch of Vestal. Koch said her brother who presently lives in Virginia is interested to return to the area and she was seeking information about the 24-unit complex. For additional information, call Sedlock at 772-2850.
