An elderly couple leaving Mass Wednesday at Holy Name of Mary Church in Montrose were the victims of a hit and run driver.
John and Doris Daly were walking across Main Street in Montrose when they were hit by a medium-sized, white sedan, Mayor John Wilson said.
The vehicle was heading south on Rt. 29 when the accident occcured around 5:30 p.m.
Both victims were taken to area hospitals, and John Daly was flown to Geisinger Medical Center Danville.
Police Chief Dale Smith said the investigation of the incident is continuing at this time.
