Coyote hunt early registration due Jan. 22

The District 9 Pennsylvania Trappers Association will hold its annual coyote hunt from Friday, Feb. 4 to Sunday, Feb. 6, with weigh-ins at Triton Hose Company in Tunkhannock.

The registration is $25 for early entry fee, which is due by Jan. 22, and will cover the 3 days of the hunt plus the weigh-in dinner.

A price of $30 is required after Jan. 22 for late registration. Registrations will not be accepted after 10 p.m. on Feb. 2.

Coyotes may be taken by hunting only. No trapped or cable-restrained coyotes allowed.

Pennsylvania Game Commission regulations must be strictly adhered to. Coyotes must be taken by fair chase/stalk methods. In case of a tie, the first coyote weighed in wins.

Weigh-in will be held at the Triton Hose Company in Tunkhannock from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.  on Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 2p.m. on Sunday.

A weigh-in dinner, included in the entry fee, will be held for all entrants on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
