Forester girls take OT loss to ‘Paupack

Forest City’s girls’ basketball team was handed a 45-40 overtime loss to Wallenpaupack on the road on Tuesday evening (Feb. 22).

The Foresters fall behind 16-6 after the first, and after leading scoring 7-6 in the second, the Foresters still trailed 22-13 at halftime.

After the break, Forest City came out to take a 1-point lead going into the fourth as the Foresters outscored ‘Paupack 15-5 in the third.

However, ‘Paupack came back to pace the Foresters 13-12 in the fourth to put the game into overtime at 40-40 where ‘Paupack shutout the Foresters 5-0 to take the win.

Forest City was led by Katie Yale who scored 15 points while Cassie Erdmann added 11 and Kiersten Collins had six.
