Local photographers have captured what they love about the area and those images are now available in calendar form, offered for the first time at the 12th Annual Restoration Festival, June 25, at the Montrose Fire Hall.

In addition to the Images of Susquehanna County calendar, Rest Fest goers will be able to participate in a silent auction featuring offerings from local artists and merchants.

Betty Bryden, owner of the Butternut Gallery and Second Story Books in Montrose, said a notable contribution to this year’s event is a three-dimensional piece by artist Tim Montana.

Montana’s work, “Wisdom before Wealth,” combines the artist’s talents of craftsmanship and painting.

“I am a builder, an inventor, a seeker, a dreamer and a thinker,” Montana said. “It is my responsibility to find the ways my vision can positively influence individuals and our culture.”

In addition to Montana’s piece, artworks from Rodrica Tilley, Earl Lehman, Chris Lathrop, Julie Davenport and other artists will also be available at the auction.

Other items up for auction include antiques and quality items donated by area merchants.

The event will take place from 6-10 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person or $350 for a table of 10 and are available at the Butler’s Pantry, Montrose Country Store and the Montrose Restoration Committee office. Call the office at 278-6854 for more information.

Dinner will be provided by Montrose area restaurants and entertainment for the evening features “The String Band.”
