Only one Little League team from across Susquehanna County remains in a potential District 15 title hunt, while others have either been eliminated or are now participating in consolation tournaments.
Susquehanna County’s 10-11 boys remained alive in District 15 action as pool play continued yesterday at Lawton as they faced Athens and on Thursday, they will host Potter McKean.
Blue Ridge’s 9-10 boys are in the Joe Shaw Memorial Tourney, and the Blue Ridge, SuscoEast and Montrose Majors (11-12) also remain alive in the Daniel Aquilio Memorial Tourney.
DISTRICT 15
BLUE RIDGE
9-10 Boys
On Sunday, the Blue Ridge 9-10 All-Stars opened play in the Joe Shaw Memorial Consolation Tournament with a 7-4 loss to RTL. They were to play Montrose on July 4 but Montrose withdrew from the tourney and now Blue Ridge hosts Towanda on Wednesday at 6 p.m..
11-12 Boys
The Blue Ridge 11-12 boys took an 11-4 loss from NEBALL on Tuesday (June 28) at home in pool play, ending the team’s run at 2-2.
On Sunday, Blue Ridge opened play in the Daniel J. Aquilio Memorial Consolation Tournament with a 17-9 win over Towanda. They play RTL at Wyalusing on Thursday at 6 p.m.
SUSCO EAST
9-10 Boys
The SuscoEast 9-10 All-Stars beat Sayre, 12-11, on Friday. They lost 13-7 to Tunkhannock at Springville on Sunday. They hosted Sayre on July 4, but lost 5-2 in an elimination game.
11-12 Boys
The Susco East 11-12 boys were handed a 13-1 loss on Tuesday night (June 28) at Tunkhannock, to bring the team’s pool play tally to a 1-3 record.
They opened play in the Daniel J. Aquilio Memorial Consolation Tournament with a 12-9 loss to RTL on Sunday. On Tuesday, they hosted Montrose at Clifford at 6 p.m. in an elimination game.

MONTROSE
9-10 Boys
The Montrose 9-10 All-Stars lost to Towanda, 13-3, on Friday in opening action of the Joe Shaw Memorial Consolation Tournament. They were scheduled to play Blue Ridge on July 4, but withdrew from the tournament.
11-12 Boys
The Montrose Little League 11-12 boys faced an 8-2 loss from Tunkhannock on Tuesday night (June 28), and were handed an 11-3 loss from NEBALL on Wednesday in the final round of pool play to bring the team’s record to 0-4.
Montrose lost to Towanda, 10-8, on Friday in the Daniel J. Aquilio Memorial Consolation Tournament. On Tuesday, they were to play SuscoEast at Clifford at 6 p.m. in an elimination game.
SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY
10-11 Boys
The Susquehanna County 10-11 boys faced a 10-4 loss to Athens on Wednesday evening. They lost to Potter McKean, 17-1, on Friday, but bounced back with a 19-9 win over Wellsboro on Sunday.
They complete pool play by hosting Athens at Lawton on Tuesday at 6 p.m., and Potter McKean on Thursday.
