The Mountain View girls’ soccer team picked up a 2-1 victory overForestCityon the road on Wednesday afternoon to remain unbeaten.
Megan Getz and Alix Taylor scored first half goals to lead Mountain View in the victory.
Meagan Goben chipped in with Forest City’s only score of the game in the second half.
Mountain Viewhad 15 shots on goal and three corners while Forest City had 19 shots and four corners.
Mountain Viewgoalie Caity Tague had 13 saves while Forester goalie Kaylie Gigliotti had 13.
Montrose
Montrose Area’s girls’ soccer team grabbed a 7-0 win overCarbondaleat home on Thursday and a 5-0 victory overDunmoreon the road on Wednesday afternoon.
AgainstCarbondale, Sarah Lundy had three goals and two assists and Nicki Lewis had one goal and two assists to pace the Meteors.
Myra Lattimore, Katie Groover and Lindsey Gregory all added goals for Montrose as they took 16 shots on goal with four corner kicks and goalie Anna Churco had six saves.
On Wednesday, Montrose scored four first half goals as Gregory, Lewis, Hannah Dieck and Lattimore all found the net.
Dieck then chipped in with a second half score to propel the Meteors to the win.
Montrose took 19 shots on goal and had six corner kicks while Churco had one save.
Forest City
TheForestCitygirls’ soccer team pinned down a 5-0 win at Mid Valley on Friday and a 2-0 victory at Holy Cross on Tuesday.
Against Mid Valley, Taylor Ray Tammero scored a hat trick to pace the Foresters while Megan Goben added a pair of goals while Carly Erdmann had four assists.
ForestCitytook 24 shots on goal and six corners while goalie Kaylie Gigliotti had one save on the day.
On Tuesday, Goben scored in the first half off a penalty kick, while Cassandra Bendyk added a second half goal with an assist from Gigliotti to lead the Foresters to the win.
