The man who threatened to shoot a bank teller if she didn’t hand over money in the August hold-up of a bank inSusquehannaCountycould spend up to 20 years in prison for the offense.
Jon Dockens, 29, Union Dale, pleaded guilty to one count of robbery Friday in the Susquehanna County Court of Common Pleas.
Dockens admitted he went to the Pennstar Bank branch in Susquehanna and handed a teller a note demanding she turn over $10,000 “in 10 seconds or I’ll shoot someone.”
No weapon was displayed during the incident, according to court papers.
District Attorney Jason Legg said, Dockens has also agreed to pay $1,750 in restitution to the bank – the amount he stole during the incident.
He fled the scene and was located by police, Sept. 1, at a Lenox Twp. convenience store.
Dockens has been held on bail since his arrest.
He is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 19, 2012 by President Judge Kenneth Seamans.
