Woman pleads in vehicle robbery

A 30-year-old Montrose woman admitted in court Friday that she stole an elderly man’s vehicle by force on Oct. 13.

Tracey Ramsay faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to a felony count of robbery of a motor vehicle in Susquehanna County Court.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 19, 2012, by President Judge Kenneth Seamans.

Ramsay admitted that she and her boyfriend, Daniel Bentz, 30, Susquehanna, struck a 70-year-old man and dragged him out of his vehicle onWashington St., Susquehanna; then took the vehicle.

Bentz has also been charged in connection with the incident. He is currently being held on $50,000 bail.

Police located Ramsay, who was on probation, inPhiladelphiafive days after the incident. Her probation was revoked and she has been in custody since her arrest.

Other charges leveled against Ramsay in connection with the crime were dropped in exchange for the plea.
