An alleged drunk driver plowed into the rear end of a Montrose police cruiser New Year’s Eve in New Milford Borough.
Jerri Shibley, 40, Hallstead, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence in connection with the10:30 p.m.crash onMain St.(Rt. 11).
Montrose patrolmen Levi Tiffany and Nathaniel Williams were outside the patrol unit conducting a traffic stop at the time of the crash.
Emergency lights were activated on the police vehicle when Shibley approached from the south and struck the cop car.
Shibley was transported toBarnes-KassonHospital, Susquehanna. According to state police reports, it is unknown if she sustained any injuries in the crash.
Officers Tiffany and Williams were not injured in the incident.
The police cruiser sustained significant damage in the crash.
