Four arrested in heroin, crack seizure

Four people were arrested after police seized 170 bags of heroin and 6.1 ounces of crack cocaine from their vehicle, Wednesday, Jan. 18.

stop on I-81, Lenox Twp.

Susquehanna County Juvenile Probation officers took custody of a 14-year-old female who was also traveling in the vehicle.

Police said a warrant was completed and approved for the search. Tpr. T.J. Horan handled the investigation.

All were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Jodi Cordner. The four adults were remanded to the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility. Bail for each was set at $750,000.

Paul Rivera, Portalatin, Shelby Rivera and Kathryn Rivera have each been charged with one felony count possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, as well as other related drug charges.

Preliminary hearings for each of the accused scheduled for Jan. 24 in Clifford District Court were continued.
