The Blue Ridge boys’ basketball team took a 65-46 victory at home over Forest City on Thursday after the Raiders picked up a 76-72 overtime victory over Lackawanna Trail on the road Tuesday evening.
On Thursday, The Raiders got ahead with a 19-15 first quarter and gained more momentum going into halftime leading the Foresters 41-32.
In the second half,Blue RidgeoutscoredForestCity14-3 in the third and after the Foresters posted an 11-10 fourth, the Raiders took the win.
Jesse Pruitt scored 16 points and three raiders recorded double-doubles. SawyerDearbornhad 15 points and 10 rebounds, Alex Cardoza had 13 points and 16 assists and Chris Carlsen had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Matt Nevins and Noah Fedak combined for 36 points forForestCity.
Against Trail,Dearbornknocked downBlue Ridge’s final four points in overtime to break the tie between the Lions and Raiders.
Trail got ahead early with a 15-14 lead after the first quarter, but Blue Ridge struck back in the second doubling the Lions’ efforts, 24-12, to hold onto a 38-27 at the half.

In the second half, Trail continued to hold on as they outscored the Raiders 18-13 in the third and 18-12 in the second to tie the game up at 63 apiece at the end of regulation.
Blue Ridgethen paced the Lions 13-9 in overtime to pick up the victory.
Cardoza scored a game-high 32 points whileDearbornchipped in with 23 points and Pruitt added 14.
Montrose
Montrose’s boys’ basketball team took a commanding victory over Susquehanna’s Sabers on the road on Tuesday evening.
On Tuesday, the Meteors pulled ahead, 24-10, in the first quarter and never looked back as they took a 42-25 halftime lead and built on it in the remaining minutes.
Montrose posted a 20-18 third quarter over the Sabers and capped off the win with a 16-13 run in the fourth.
Tom Lewis scored 22 points and Cameron Dean had 20 to lead Montrose, which clinched the Lackawanna League Div. III first-half title.
Colby Major added 17 points for the Meteors and Corey Adams had seven.
Susquehanna was paced by Andrzej Tomczyk with 22 points while Cole Mallery netted 16 points and pulled down 12 board.
Elk Lake
ElkLake’s boys’ basketball team took a 49-40 victory overMountain Viewon Thursday night after the team was handed a 64-50 loss fromLakelandin Dimock on Tuesday night.
AgainstMountain View, the Warriors and Eagles battled to a tie after the first quarter, butElkLakepulled ahead to a 19-12 lead by halftime.
In the second half, the Warriors outscoredMountain View17-15 in the third and after a 13-13 fourth quarter, the Warriors took the win.
Rob Heft scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Warriors while Tanner Reyan added seven and Matt Cuomo had six.
Mountain Viewwas paced by Joel Madas with 14 points and eight rebounds while Nate Goodenough added eight.
On Tuesday, the Warriors fell behind early as the Chiefs paced them 17-12 in the first, however, the Warriors gained ground in the second with a 15-11 run to make it a 28-27 game at halftime.
In the second half however,Lakelandoutscored the Warriors 17-11 in the third and 19-12 in the fourth to come away with the win.
Heft led the Warriors with 23 points while Reyan had 13 and Cuomo dropped in seven points.
Susquehanna
The Susquehanna boys’ basketball team was handed a 69-56 loss from Lackawanna Trail at home on Thursday night.
The Lions got ahead early with a 16-9 run in the first quarter and carried the momentum into halftime with a 40-26 lead.
After the break, the Sabers paced the Lions 15-13 in the third, but Trail capped the win with a 16-15 fourth quarter.
Andrzej Tomczyk led Susquehanna with 25 points while Dan Biegert scored eight points and Brandon Soden had seven.
