For three generations Lee’s Furniture has brought quality home decor to the Montrose area.
That tradition is continuing as a ribbon cutting ceremony was held at theChurch St., store, Wednesday, Jan. 26, marking the debut of the Klaussner Solutions Gallery.
Representatives from Klaussner joined Lee’s Furniture and Radio Shack owners Jay and Craig Reimel for the ceremony.
Klaussner Vice President of Marketing Len Burke said, “We’re proud to be associated with Lee’s to represent our furniture in this area.”
About 3,000 square feet of space is being utilized in the Lee’s showroom to display 12-15 room Klaussner room set ups, said Jay Reimel.
In addition to the furniture groupings, those looking for affordable, custom, upholstered furniture will be able to choose from 200-300 available fabric choices.
Burke said, “It’s a consumer friendly process.”
On a computer in the showroom, customers will be able to choose a furniture piece and an upholstery fabric, enabling them to get a better sense of what the end product will look like.
With a state-of-the-art inventory system, customers can also see the availability of the fabric in real time.
He also pointed out the ordering system allows for a quick delivery time of the custom pieces.
Based out ofAsheboro,N.C., Klaussner offered domestically made furniture, crafted in theUnited States, said Burke “The ‘Made in theUSA’ story is becoming more and more important.”
Klaussner is an integrated company that makes its own furniture foams and frames. All of the cutting, sewing and upholstery is also done at theAsheborofacility by about 2000 people in the company’s employ.
For customers who pre-shop on the internet, the Lee’s website, www.leesmontrose.com, will also link to the Klaussner Studio Gallery. From there, customers can share their selections on social media sites, such as facebook and Twitter.
“It’s all about making the process easy and up-to-date for the customer,” Burke said.
