Locals compete in LL All-Star game

Montrose Area’s Tom Lewis scored 12 points and Colby Major added seven for the Red Team as they defeated the Blue at the Lackawanna League Boys’ Senior All Star Game at Valley View on Monday night.

The Red took a 100-72 victory over the Blue, which featured Blue Ridge’s Alex Cardoza, who scored nine, and Jesse Pruitt, who scored five points, each including one three-pointer.

The Blue Team also featured players from Lackawanna Trail, Delaware Valley, Honesdale, North Pocono, Abington Heights and Valley View and was coached by Lackawanna Trail head coach Andrew Kettel.

They faced the Red, coached by Scranton’s Tony Battaglia, also featuring players from Scranton, Riverside, West Scranton, Dunmore, Scranton Prep, Lakeland and Holy Cross.

Lewis added three rebounds and five steals while Cardoza contributed two assists for the Blue Team.
