Man killed in Rush Twp. crash

A 35-year-old man was killed Thursday, March 29 in a one vehicle crash in Rush Twp.

Jason Alia, of Montrose, was traveling south on Rt. 267 when his Volkswagen Rabbit went of the west side of the roadway, striking a tree with its front end.

Police said speed was a factor in the crash. Tpr. Michael Joyce investigated the accident.

Alia was pronounced dead at the scene.

Susquehanna County Coroner Anthony Conarton said the cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries.

An autopsy was performed on Friday, March 30, by Dr. Gary Ross of Scranton
