The Montrose Area girls’ softball team took a 13-3 victory over Elk Lake at home on Thursday after the team grabbed a 12-2 victory over Mountain View’s Eagles at home on Tuesday afternoon.
Against Elk Lake, the Warriors got on the board early with a run in the first, but Montrose soon answered back to tie things up at one apiece.
The Warriors battled back to take the lead with two runs in the top of the fourth, but Montrose came out swinging to plate four runners in the third to make it a 5-3 game.
From there, Montrose piled on the runs with one in the fourth, two in the fifth and five more in the sixth to take the victory over Elk Lake.

Katie Trecoske had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in three runs to lead the Meteors while Dallas Ely and Lacy Neely each doubled. Neely had two RBIs and Ely added one.
Shelby Stewart also tripled and drove in a pair of runs for Montrose.
Neely also took the pitching win giving up seven hits, three earned runs and one walk while fanning four in six innings.
ElkLakewas led by a triple from Kenzi Moon while Laura Gacha had a pair of hits and a RBI.
Debbie Harvey took the pitching loss forElkLake, giving up 15 hits, 10 earned runs and one walk in five and two-thirds innings of work.
On Tuesday, Dallas Ely hit a solo home run and Katie Groover had three hits including a triple to lead the Meteors.
Montrose sprung out to an early lead with five runs in the first, one in the second and two in the third to pace Mountain View 8-0 going into the top of the fourth.
The Eagles picked up their only two runs of the game in the fourth with a pair, before Montrose piled on four more runs in the fifth to end the game.
Montrose winning pitcher Lacy Neely heldMountain Viewto four hits and had five strikeouts.
Neely also knocked a pair of doubles while Megan Hinds added a double and two RBIs.
Mountain Viewhad a double from Mercedes Kromko and Makenna Whitaker. Caitlyn Tague took the pitching loss giving up 11 hits and 10 earned runs while walking eight over five innings.

TheMountain Viewsoftball team picked up a league victory overWestern Wayneat home on Wednesday afternoon.
Winning pitcher Caitlyn Tague spun a one-hitter and helped herself to three hits while Megan Getz belted a solo homerun.
Western Waynescored one run in the top of the first on Wednesday before their bats went silent.
The Eagles scored a pair of runs in the first and added one in the fifth to pick up the victory.
Jenny Molenko added a pair of hits and scored a run while Nichols knocked two hits and an RBI.
Blue Ridge
TheBlue Ridgesoftball team picked up a commanding 15-3 win overForestCityon the road on Wednesday afternoon.
Jenna Rupakus slammed two homeruns and drove in five runs while Jakie Furch lined a pair of hits and drove in two for the Raiders.
The Raiders opened up play with six runs in the first, backed on two in the third and used a big seven-run sixth inning to cap the victory.
Furch took the pitching victory giving up two hits and no runs while fanning five in three innings in the circle.
Allison Coller added a double for the Raiders.

The Susquehanna Lady Saber softball team took a 6-2 victory over Lackawanna Trail on the road on Wednesday after picking up an 8-4 victory over Forest City on the road on Tuesday night.
Against Trail, Mashawna Hargett ripped a two-run double in the first to set the tone and winning pitcher Micaela Rhone struck out 10 to lead the Sabers.
Hargett had three RBIs and Nichole Barnes, Danielle Barnes and Emily Conroy all had two hits.
On Tuesday, Barnes went three-for-four with an RBI and a run scored to lead the Sabers.
Susquehanna scored two runs in the first before Forest City would battle back to take a run in the bottom of the first and a pair in the third to take a 3-2 lead.
The Sabers then scored two runs in the fourth and four in the fifth to take an 8-3 lead, and despite a run from the Foresters in the fifth, they couldn’t mount a comeback.
Rhone took the pitching win for Susquehanna giving up nine hits, four earned runs and two walks while striking out 11 over seven innings worked.
Jade Kull had three hits, including a double and two RBIs for the Foresters and Emily Zerby had a double, a single and an RBI.
