The Forest City boys’ volleyball team took a win atElkLakeon Thursday as the Foresters handed the Warriors a 3-2 loss.
Elk Lake got ahead early winning the first set 25-23, before Forest City won the second and third 25-11 and 25-20 to take a 2-1 lead.
The Warriors then came back with a 25-23 win in the fourth set, however,ForestCitycapped the win with a 15-5 win in the fifth.
Dylan Walsh had 15 kills, nine blocks and five aces, David Cavalieri added 13 kills and Ryan Long had 21 assists to leadForestCity.
Aric Curry ledElkLakewith 10 kills in the loss.
Also last week,ForestCitytook a 3-0 loss from Lackawanna Trail in a match at Tunnel Hill on Tuesday night.
The Lions defeatedForestCity25-16 in the first set before downing them 25-11 in the second and then capping the victory with a 25-22 win in the third set.
Walsh ledForestCitywith nine kills and five blocks while Long had eight assists.

ElkLake’s boys’ volleyball team faced a 3-1 loss toAbingtonHeightsin a home match on Tuesday evening.
The Comets got ahead of the Warriors early with a 27-25 victory in the first set, beforeElkLakewould even the score with a 25-23 win in the second.
However, Abington came back to win 25-11 in the third set and 26-24 in the fourth to seal the victory.
Mason Maye had six kills and three blocks forElkLakeand Dan Noldy had five kills and three blocks.

TheMountain Viewboys’ volleyball team faced a 3-0 loss from Lackawanna Trail on the road Thursday after the Eagles took a 3-0 victory at Susquehanna on Tuesday night.
Against Trail, the Lions got ahead first with a 25-19 win in the first set, and then made it 2-0 with a 25-17 win in the second. Trail then capped off the win with a 25-10 victory in the third set.
Brad Owens ledMountain Viewwith 11 kills and 11 digs.
On Tuesday, the Eagles took down the Sabers in three consecutive sets to take the win, 26-24, 25-15 and 25-20.
Owens had 13 kills and 11 digs and Nate Moyer had 20 assists and five digs to lead the Eagles.
Mike Frye led Susquehanna with 11 assists, four blocks and six aces and Evan Stone had five kills, 11 digs and two blocks.

Susquehanna’s boys’ volleyball team was handed a 3-0 loss fromWestern Wayneon the road on Thursday evening.
The Wildcats took the lead with a 25-20 victory in the first set and then sealed the win with a 25-20 win in the second and a 25-16 win in the third.
