The man police found with 1,000 bags of heroin in a box of mashed potatoes pleaded guilty and was sentenced on drug charges Friday in Susquehanna County Court.
Lloyd Rashad Brown Jr., 30, ofSyracuse,N.Y., pleaded guilty to a felony count of possession with intent to deliver.
He was sentenced to served nine to 23-1/2 months in the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility.
Brown was stopped by state police for a traffic violation on I-81, Lenox Twp. on Feb. 20.
According to court documents, Brown consented to a search of the vehicle and the heroin was found in a sealed box of instant mashed potatoes.
The street value of the drugs was estimated at $25,000.
Brown has been held in the county jail since his February arrest.

David Arlin Brown, 51, of Susquehanna, to six to 15 months home confinement for Manufacture, Delivery or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver inHarmonyTownshipon September 30, 2011.
