Man accused of exposure now faces assault charges

The 24-year-old man police say exposed himself to convenience store employees inLawtonnow faces allegations that he has been having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

William Moreck Jr., of Laceyville, was charged by Tpr. Craig Purdum with three counts of statutory sexual assault and three counts of corruption of minors – all felony charges.

According to the affidavit, Moreck began dating the teen in October 2011 and engaged in sexual intercourse with her at his Auburn Twp. home.

The Susquehanna County Independent does not identify victims of alleged sexual assault.

Moreck appeared for a preliminary hearing in Montrose District Court on Monday, June 4, on allegations that he exposed his genitalia to employees at Flynn’sStoneCastle,Lawton, on multiple occasions during the past two years.

Fifteen counts of indecent exposure lodged against him in that case were bound over to the Court of Common Pleas by District Judge Jeffrey Hollister.

According to the affidavit filed in the sexual assault case, a 17-year-old store employee who reported an alleged exposure incident, told police she knew Moreck because he was dating a ninth grader at her school.

According to the affidavit, the teen had toldElkLakeschool nurse Kendra Griffiths that she had been having a sexual relationship with Moreck. The nurse reported the matter to Children & Youth.

Bail has not yet been set on the latest charges lodged against Moreck. He remains free with an unsecured bail on the indecent exposure counts.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 2.
