Boy Scout Troop 154 of Elk Lake held their Court of Honor on Monday night at the Elk Lake American Legion. Three new Greenhorn scouts were recognized: Jared Tyler, John Jones, and Malcolm Staff.
Earning the rank of Tenderfoot were: William Farnelli, William Arnold, Griffin Arnold, Caleb Ely, Joe Swart, Griffin Kasson, and Brandon Gibbons.
Jonas Fuller attained the rank of Star Scout. Mark Zaleskie attained the rank of Life Scout.
Clark Fuller expected to finish his Eagle Scout project in less than 24 hours. He has been building a shed for theDimockCemetery, as well as doing other improvements there over the years. The shed is built and painted, and the roof was expected to be finished on Tuesday. Other troop members have helped with the project during the summer.
Clarkattended the Order of the Arrow conference inAnn ArborMichigan, along with about 8,000 other Arrowmen from across the nation. He recently completed a merit badge in public speaking, and it showed.
The troop was awarded a certificate for attendance atCampTuscarora, as one hundred percent of the troop,or 14 boys, attended. Merit badges were awarded at the meeting, and refreshments were served.
