Man sentenced for manufacturing meth

A Montrose man will serve six months to two years minus one day in the county jail followed by five years probation for manufacturing methamphetamine last year in Montrose.

Anthony Olszewski, 37, Montrose, was sentenced Thursday, May 23 in two cases.

The first case stemmed from an Oct. 11, 2012 incident. Olszewski was charged with conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance.

At the plea hearing held in April, he admitted that he and three others – Salvatore Gentile, Angel Powers and Jeremy Truckenbrod, all took part in gathering the ingredients needed to make methamphetamine and/or the process of making the drug at an apartment on Public Ave., Montrose.

President Judge Kenneth Seamans sentenced him to serve six months to two years minus one day on the count.

He received the five year probation, to run consecutive to the jail term, for manufacturing methamphetamine on Nov. 21, 2012, in Bridgewater Twp.

In both cases, law enforcement personnel discovered the tools and ingredients associated with the process of meth making at the scene.

Others sentenced Thursday in Susquehanna County Court include:

Mark Clinton Wagner, 31, of Montrose, to 10 to 24 months in a state correctional facility, sentence to run concurrent to current sentence for Criminal Conspiracy/Criminal Trespass in Ararat Twp. on August 11, 2012.

Gina Marie Olshan, 44, of Laceyville, to nine months to two years minus one day for Burglary in Auburn Twp. on December 23, 2011. Olshan was also sentenced to six months to two years minus one day for Access Device Fraud in Auburn Twp. on December 23, 2011.

Angelina Wilson, 29, of Montrose, to five to 12 months for Criminal Conspiracy/Robbery in Great Bend Twp. on May 16, 2012. Wilson also received five to 12 months, followed by two years probation, to run concurrent to the above sentence for Robbery in Great Bend Twp. on May 16, 2012.

Christopher Lee Shupp, 31, of Scranton, to three years probation for Receiving Stolen Property on June 25, 2011 in Lenox Twp. Shupp also received three years probation to run concurrent to the above sentence for Receiving Stolen Property In Lenox Twp. on June 12, 2011.

Fernando Manuel Chipelo, 44, New Milford, to 5 days to 6 months for Driving Under the Influence in Great Bend Twp. on September 28, 2012.

Jason W. Penny, 28, of Susquehanna, to 15 months probation for Criminal Mischief in New Milford Borough on December 31, 2012.

Troy Fleming Jr., 20, of Montrose, to three months to two years minus one day for Receiving Stolen Property in Forest City Borough on June 17, 2012. Fleming also received three months to two years minis one day for Receiving Stolen Property in Forest City Borough on June 17, 2012. Fleming also received three months to two years minus one day for Receiving Stolen Property in Forest City Borough on June 27, 2012. Finally, Fleming received three months to two years minus one day for Receiving Stolen Property in Forest City Borough on July 8, 2013.

Joshua A Baker, 27, of Montrose, to 12 to 24 months for Theft by Unlawful Taking in Auburn Twp. on March 17, 2011.
