Several local high school football players will make their final varsity appearances whey they take the field Wednesday night to compete in the 79th annual Scranton Lions Club Dream Game at Scranton Memorial Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
The game will feature many record-setting offensive players for both the
city and county teams.
Among the City roster includes Montrose players John Lawson (FB/LB) and Will Ely (WR/DB), as well as Susquehanna’s Cole Mallery (WR/DB) and Jagr Briar (OL/DL).
The City team is coached by North Pocono’s Greg Dolhon and will also
feature players from Delaware Valley, Dunmore, Holy Cross, North Pocono, Scranton, Scranton Prep and Wallenpaupack.
They will square off against the County Team, coach by Riverside’s Evan Prall, and also includes players from Abington Heights, Carbondale Area, Honesdale, Lackawanna Trail, Lakeland, Mid Valley, Old Forge, Riverside, Valley View and Western Wayne.
Last year’s City team blasted County 41-20 and holds the overall
advantage in the series, 38-36-4.
