Clay artist Mark Chuck of Kingsley blends his love of fishing with his art, carefully working a side of what will be a porcelain teapot molded in a cast of a salmon he caught on a fishing expedition.

Working in porcelain gives Chuck the ability to capture the fine details of the fish on the surface of his pieces.

He demonstrated his technique – honed over the past decade – and showcased his clay and porcelain works at his studio Monday during the 17th Annual Artists’ Open House Weekend.
