A three-year member of the volleyball team, Greg Kowalewski still enjoys learning new skills from his coach.

The senior is involved in a number of extra curricular activities at the school, including National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, and is the president of student council.

With student council, he has raised thousands of dollars for his community through Feed-A-Friend during the fall and winter seasons, and recently helped raise money for a classmate who lost his home in a triadic fire this past month.

After graduation, Kowalewski plans to attend Penn State and major in agricultural sciences.

Junior Abbey Capwell participated in the annual Read Across America event that was held March 3.

Capwell, who is a member of the track team, went to the preschool, Headstart, and the Blue Ridge elementary school. She read to the children and also did activities with them.

“My favorite part was how excited the kids were to read and to see what we had planned for them for the day,” Capwell said.

Capwell also was eagerly anticipating the start of the season which also was the same day as the Read Across America.

“I’m really excited to see what the track season brings,” Capwell said.
