BR girls snap Montrose win streak

The Lady Raiders ended the Montrose girls’ 14-meet winning streak on the track Thursday, 87-63.

Lindsey Rupakus broke her school record in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.14 seconds – besting her own school record set days – and added a win in the 300 hurdles.

Hannah Dieck won the long and triple jumps, and the pole vault for Montrose.

Blue Ridge also collected a win from Mountain View earlier in the week, 83-64. Lindsey Rupakus set a school record in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.28.

Mountain View’s Alexia Presley also set a school record in the race with a second-place time of 16.4.

The Lady Meteors started out the week with a 119-29 win over Susquehanna.

Hannah Dieck won the long, triple and pole vault.

Elk Lake beat Lackawanna Trail, 115-25. Lydia Ofalt won the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles and Megyn Stevens the shot and discus for the winners.

Susquehanna defeated Holy Cross, 66-56. Katie Greene paced the Sabers with wins in the shot and discus.

Dunmore had a 111-39 win over Mountain View in a Lackawanna Track Conference Division III-IV crossover.
