Montrose boys collect three wins

Owen Brewer was fourth and Zach Mead was fifth as Montrose earned three wins to remain unbeaten in a Lackawanna League boys cross country meet Tuesday at Elk Lake.

Montrose and Elk Lake both defeated Abington Heights, handing the Comets their first losses of the season.

Matthew Kravitz finished first overall and David Haines was second for North Pocono, which posted two wins.

Hunter Bedell finished sixth overall for Elk Lake as the Warriors earned two wins.

In girls cross country, Keri Jones of Elk Lake was second and Katie Bennett was fourth as the Lady Warriors earned two wins.

Lady Forester Jen Korty finished second on 3.1-mile course at Merli Sarnoski Park.
