Blue Ridge reaches Class A final

Blue Ridge advanced to the District 2 Class A girls volleyball championship match by defeating Mountain View in straight sets, 25-13, 25-18, 25-19, on Monday.

Megan Houlihan had eight kills and eight points, Abigail Hartman added five aces and 21 points, Kalynne Myers had seven points and five digs, and Hayleigh Fekette had 12 assists for the Lady Raiders, who are the defending champions.

Leanna Allen had six points, six assists and six digs, and Lauren Schmidt had seven points for the Lady Eagles.

The Lady Raiders will play MMI on Wednesday at North Pocono at 5 p.m. in the championship.

Blue Ridge is the Class A girls’ volleyball defending champion and is the overwhelming favorite.

MMI advanced to the final round with a 3-0 win over Elk Lake in an earlier game at Blue Ridge.

Mikayla Meaders led Elk Lake with 13 digs.
