Montrose wrestler Makeela Fabrizio made his way to the championship round at 145 lbs. at the Lackawanna League Championships held Saturday at Wallenpaupack High School.
Fabrizio was defeated in a 19-3 technical fall in the finals by West Scranton’s Bubba Novak.
At 126, Jacob O’Brien of Montrose pinned Delaware Valley’s Jack Dardia at the 2:11 mark to bring home a third place medal.
Elk Lake’s Jake Hand pinned ‘Paupack’s John Hannon in 45 seconds to earn a third place medal in the 160 division.
Cole Aukema, of Montrose, was pinned by Howie Babcock (Valley View) in the 152 match, leaving Aukema with a fourth place finish.
In team standings, Montrose finished eighth with 59 points; Elk Lake was 12th with 26; and Blue Ridge finished 13th with 24 points.
