Despite the chilly March winds that the bright sunshine failed to warm on March 19, the grounds surrounding the Susquehanna Community Elementary School were a colorful sea of 150-plus anxious children, waiting to participate in the Susquehanna Community Development Association’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Egbert the Easter Bunny arrived by fire truck, thanks to his friends at the Susquehanna Fire Department and welcomed all. After all eggs had been gathered up to the rim of their baskets, the children were invited inside, to the gymnasium where they received a goodie bag filled with an assortment of candy, chips, stickers, etc.

In addition, every egg hunter was also given their choice of one gift – a book or a stuffed animal.

The Susquehanna Community Development Association wishes to thank all of those who generously gave their time, talents, goods and services, which made the Easter Egg Hunt such a resounding success. A special “thank-you” goes out to the Susquehanna Community Elementary School for the use of their grounds and facility.

In May, SCDA will hold a Spring Flower Sale; and Hometown Days return in July.
