Win streak continues for BR girls

The Blue Ridge girls’ volleyball team continued their win streak collecting 3-0 wins over both Montrose and Western Wayne last week.
Against Montrose on Wednesday, Hayleigh Fekette had eight kills and eight assists to lead Blue Ridge.
Kalynne Myers had nine assists and seven aces for the Lady Raiders and Megan Houlihan had six aces.
Kayla Eshbaugh had nine assists and eight digs for Montrose and Elizabeth Kelley had 14 digs.
Susquehanna split the week taking a home court win over Mountain View.
Brittany Burlingame had six aces, 14 points and six assists to lead the Lady Sabers.
Kelsey Swartz had seven kills for Susquehanna and McKenzie Rhone had five kills.
Lauren Schmidt had 12 kills for Mountain View and Audrey Cameron had 11 points and eight digs.
The Lady Sabers fell to Lackawanna Trail, 3-0. Emily Lawrenson had 12 digs and Kelsey Swartz had eight digs for Susquehanna.
Elk Lake won a 3-2 contest over Montrose. Keryne Brostoski had 10 kills, six blocks and 10 assists, Julie VanEtten had 18 assists and five kills and Jamie Cohn had seven kills to lead the Lady Warriors.
Emily Stankiewicz had eight kills, six aces and 15 assists, Alyvia Richel had seven kills and Radvile Vaicivlyte had nine digs and five kills for Montrose.
Keryne Brostoski had five kills for Elk Lake and Julie VanEtten had six assists in a 3-0 loss to Abington Heights.
Amelia Zazzera had 15 points and five aces, Caitlyn Bonham had 15 points and Summer Wade had 10 points and seven blocks to lead Forest City over Mountain View, 3-0, in a Lackawanna League girls volleyball match Friday.
Caitlyn Williams had 15 points and 10 assists, Audrey Cameron had nine points and eight kills and Lauren Schmidt had 10 kills and 12 digs for Mountain View.
The Lady Foresters fell to Western Wayne earlier in the week, 3-1.
Amelia Zazzera had 17 points, five kills and 11 blocks for Forest City, Summer Wade had 11 points, six kills and nine blocks and Katelyn Dovin had 30 digs.
