Mt. View takes OT win

Nick Pellew scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to give Mountain View a 3-2 win over Lakeland in a Lackawanna League Division II boys soccer game Monday.
Alex Showalter had a goal and an assist for the Eagles.
At Mountain View, Nick Pellew had four goals and two assists as the Eagles rolled to a 19-0 Division II-III crossover win last week over Riverside.
At Western Wayne, Giovanni Amato had a goal and two assists to lead Montrose, 3-1 over the Wildcats.
At Riverside, Jared Paulin and Jay Lipko each scored two goals to lead Forest City to a 4-0 win.
Axel Mejia had a hat trick to lead Blue Ridge, 5-1 over Carbondale Area.
At Polonia Park, Blake Chew had a goal and an assist to lead Elk Lake, 2-1, over Holy Cross.
Elk Lake came within two minutes of the most stunning upset of the soccer season, but Scranton Prep scored late in regulation and early in overtime to post a 2-1 win in Lackawanna League Division II play Wednesday.
Francisco Lopez scored off Blake Chew’s feed eight minutes in, and Elk Lake kept the undefeated Cavaliers in check until Cullen Myers set up Billy Weiss’ goal with 2:08 left in regulation.
Myers ended Elk Lake’s hopes for an upset, netting the gamewinner just 2:34 into overtime.
At Lakeland, Jackson Griffiths and Daniel Barclay each scored two goals to lead Montrose.
At Forest City, Jonathan Blewett had a goal and an assist to lead Blue Ridge to a Division III win.
Eric Hall had 10 saves for the Raiders.
Tyler Clift and Jared Paulin scored for Forest City.
