3 killed in 1-81 crash

Three people were killed and three others injured in a crash early Saturday morning in Interstate 81 in Harford Twp.

A woman and two children were killed in the Oct. 22, 3:07 a.m. crash involving a Freightliner truck tractor and a Nissan Altima with five occupants in the northbound lanes of the highway.

Among those killed were a seven-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy. The girl was the daughter of driver, Alicia Stocks.

Stocks, 25, of New York, was transported to Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton where, according to media reports, she later died Saturday from injuries sustained in the crash.

According the police, the Freightliner struck the rear end of the car.

Two other passengers in the car were injured in the crash.

The driver of the Freightliner sustained minor injuries and was also transported to the hospital for treatment.

The Nissan sustained major damage in the crash, and the truck had moderate damage.

Pennsylvania State Police from the Gibson barracks are investigating the crash.
