Dimock man faces meth charges

A Montrose area man faces charges after police raided a suspected meth lab last week on Carter Road in Dimock Twp.

Klay Marcy, 19, Montrose, is being held on $100,000 bail after being drug manufacture and possession charges were lodged against him last week by Susquehanna County detectives for incidents occurring on Feb. 16 and 21.

According to an affidavit filed in Montrose District Court, detectives set up a controlled drug buy. During the “buy,” it was noted in the affidavit that the Carter Road home smelled of “ether,” and Coleman fuel, and starting fluid was observed in the residence; and items – such as needles – were observed in a shed on the property.

Details surrounding the charges from the Feb. 21 incident are not yet available.

Marcy was arraigned on March 1 by Magisterial District Judge Jodi Cordner on the charges stemming from the Feb. 16 incident; and bail was set at $100,000.

A preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey Hollister is scheduled for Monday, March 13 in Montrose District Court.
