Baseball: FC opens with wins

Forest City scored a 7-4 win over Montrose in the first full week of the spring baseball season.
R.J. Kuruts allowed one earned run and struck out 12 to lead the Foresters. Kyle Shema doubled and drove in two.
R.J. Arnold doubled and scored a run for Montrose.
At Susquehanna, Kyle Shema tossed a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead Forest City to a 5-1 Division V win over Susquehanna.
Dakota Knehr-Cook had three hits and scored two runs for the Foresters.
Evan Haley singled and drove in a run for Susquehanna.
At Elk Lake, Jake Decker had two hits, including a double, scored twice and drove in one to lead Blue Ridge to a 5-1 Division V win.
Brandon Traver tripled and scored a run for Elk Lake.
At Elk Lake, Jack Waldenberger had three hits and two runs and Joe McAleer drove in three runs to lead the Warriors, 9-3, over Montrose.
R.J. Arnold had two hits, including a double, and a run scored for Montrose.
At Lackawanna Trail, Zeb Feduchak had two doubles and three RBIs to lead Mountain View, 14-9, over the Lions.
Nick Pellew doubled, scored three runs and drove in two for the Eagles.
Lackawanna Trail took a 6-3 Division V win over Susquehanna.
Eric Lee had two hits, including a triple, and a run scored for Susquehanna.
