One killed in motorcycle crash

A two vehicle motorcycle crash June 30 in Lenox Township claimed the life of a Simpson woman.
Motorcycle driver Shannon Bonning, 49, sustained severe injuries and died at the scene following the crash on SR 92, at about 12:50 p.m.
According to police, Bonning failed to negotiate a right hand bend in the road as she was traveling southbound, and drifted across the center line and into the path of an oncoming vehicle driven by William Steele Jr., 47, of Nicholson.
Tpr. Jason McKee investigated. Police were assisted on the scene by the Susquehanna County Coroner and Harford, Clifford, Hop Bottom and Nicholson fire companies.
