Personnel matters dominate county agenda

Personnel matter dominated the Susquehanna County Commissioners’ June 28 meeting agenda.
After the County Salary Board merged the First Deputy positions in the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts office, Amanda Lannon, of Kingsley, transferred to the new role of First Deputy Prothonotary/Clerk of Courts, effective June 29.
In that office, the commissioners acknowledged the resignation of Christy Moreck on June 19 from the First Deputy Prothonotary position.
There was also some shifting of positions at the county jail, with Gregory Rosar transferring to the Corrections Sergeant position, effective June 15.
Brad Allen transferred from a part-time Corrections Officer position to full-time employment, effective June 15; and Alayna Doolittle and Hunter Williams were hired as full-time corrections officers, effective June 19.
The following people were appointed or reappointed to serve on the Northern Tier Regional Planning and Development Advisory Committee, July 1 – June 30, 2018:
Economic development: Robert Neira, William Dovin, Bobbi Jo Turner;
Local Loan Review: Joe Ferretti, Rick Sodon, Keith Yurgoski;
Rural Area Transportation: Alan Hall, Alex Komar, Jack Conrol;
Member at Large: Jody Place;
Local Elected Officials: Alan Hall, Elizabeth Arnold, MaryAnn Warren.
A new chief clerk was hired at the June 14 meeting. Martin Kane, of Montrose, took on the position, effective June 19, at a salary of $60,000.
Kane was appointed as the county’s Open Records Officer at the June 28 meeting.
