Prospect St. Apt. manager charged with theft

The manager of Prospect Street Apartments was arrested for stealing over $10,000 in rental payments this year.
A joint investigation between the Pennsylvania State Police, Gibson Barracks and the Susquehanna County District Attorney’s Office quickly developed manager Pamela Ervin-Rockwell, 61, Susquehanna, as a suspect in the theft.
According to a release from PSP, Gibson, Susquehanna County Housing Authority Director Karen Allen reported irregularities discovered during a spot check of the complex’s financial records.
The Housing Authority is the agency in charge of Prospect Street Apartments, which are located in Susquehanna.
The investigation discovered $10,515 was missing from cash rental payments.
Ervin-Rockwell subsequently admitted to taking the money. She was arrested on felony charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jodi Cordner. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Jan. 15, 2018.
