Local student earns Eagle Scout rank

Eagle Scout Caleb Ely proudly stands in front of the shed he built for the Gardner-Warner American Legion Post as his Eagle project.

Caleb Ely, an Elk Lake High School senior, recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  Caleb is 18 years old and the son of Joshua and Cambria Ely.

Caleb started out his Scouting career as a member of Pack 97 in Springville and went on to Troop 154 that operates out of the Elk Lake American Legion Gardner Warner Post 154.

Caleb’s Eagle project was building a storage shed for the Gardner Warner Legion, per their request.  A celebration was held on April 8 to recognize Caleb’s achievement and many friends and family attended.
