Lady Eagles score win over FC

Marisa Ostir led off the game with a single and scored the game’s only run on an error as Mountain View defeated Forest City 1-0. Ostir went 2-3 for the Lady Eagles and Regan Cameron scattered 8 hits over seven innings and struck out two to pick up the win for Mountain View.

Montrose banged out 13 hits on its way to 15-4 win over Lackawanna Trail. Josie Flynn led the assault with three hits including two doubles and scored three times. Jolee Smith drove in two runs and had two hits for the Lady Meteors. Betsy Warner, Riley Short, Claudia Cordner, and Macey Shillinger were also two-time hitters for Montrose. Madelyn Guinane picked up the win for the Lady Meteors striking out 10 and giving up five runs over six innings.

Forest City banged out 16 hits and erupted for 10 runs over the third and fourth innings in its 11-4 victory over Elk Lake. Allison Warner took the loss for Elk Lake surrendering all 11 runs over 11 hits over the four innings in relief of starter Cheyenne Jenner. Tamara Voda led the Elk Lake hitters with two hits including a triple. Lucy Ives also doubled.

Blue Ridge took a double header from Susquehanna as Danielle Goff threw a three-hit shutout for the Lady Raiders. Goff struck out six hitters and also led Blue Ridge at the dish going 4 for 4 with a triple and driving in three runs in leading Blue Ridge to the 10-0 win. Katie White also tripled and Karly Gudykunst doubled. Losing pitcher Bridget Iveson had the three hits for Susquehanna. On the mound Iveson surrendered the 10 runs on nine hits and struck out five.

In the nightcap Blue Ridge exploded for 16 runs in its first two at bats on its way to the 16-0 victory. Gudykunst led the way driving in three runs with a triple. Emalee Carr, Breanna Post, Martin, and Welch also had three RBIs in support of winning pitcher Katie White. White struck out 5 and surrenderd one hit to pick up the win.

Guinane had two hits and two RBIs as Montrose squeaked past Riverside 2-1 in a Division III-IV crossover game. She also scattered five hits and struck out six to pick up the win on the mound.
