The Birchardville School Educational and Historical Association will hold a meeting on Saturday, Aug. 31, 4-4:30 p.m., at the Birchardville Baptst Church. All are welcome to attend.
Following the meeting, from 4:30-6 p.m., the Birchardville historic one room schoolhouse will be open to the public for a free open house event. The schoolhouse is located on Schoolhouse Lane directly south of Birchardville off of State Route 267.
This one room schoolhouse was built in 1861; it was closed in 1953. The schoolhouse is now a museum with desks, maps, globes, books and other historical displays.
