A Forest City man was killed Wednesday, Sept. 4, in a two-car crash on Rt. 247, in Clifford Twp.
Richard Shinn, 68, sustained a fatal injury when his southbound Chevrolet Cavalier was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by Gregory Sheridan, 30, Hallstead, just before 8 a.m.
According to police, Sheridan failed to negotiate a downhill right curve just east of High Ridge Rd. and struck Shinn’s car.
Sheridan sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported by Forest City Area EMS to Geisinger CMC for treatment.
Tpr. Nicholas Stoud investigated the crash.
