The SusCo Youth Agricultural Foundation is pleased to announce five winners of their inaugural scholarship program. With the help of Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation and many other sponsors, the Foundation was able to hold a livestock show and sale this past summer, as well as award scholarships to high school students entering college in the fall of 2020.      

The first recipient is Allana Warner, Montrose, PA. She is the daughter of Wes & Brenda Warner. Miss Warner showed both market beef and lambs this past summer and sold her livestock in the Foundation’s sale. Warner is

attending Johnson College for Radiologic Technology.

KayLeen Conklin, daughter of Michael & Michelle Conklin, New Milford, Pa., showed a hog and market goats. One of her market goats placed first in the lightweight division. KayLeen was named Valedictorian at Blue Ridge High School and is attending Roberts Wesleyan College in the Biomedical Science

Major. 

Majoring in Business Management and Marketing at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Brooke Arnold is the daughter of William Arnold and Becky Arnold, Springville, Pa. Brooke exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Lamb, as well as showing a market steer.

Nate Pettyjohn is the son of Darren & Nannette Pettyjohn, Montrose, Pa. Mr. Pettyjohn chose Bob Jones University in South Carolina to study Criminal Justice. Unable to exhibit his lambs, because he was already in South Carolina, Nate chose to sell them in the Foundation’s livestock auction.

Our final recipient is Geovanni Swartley, Friendsvile, Pa. His parents are Mike & Jill Swartley and Geo has chosen Sports Studies at SUNY Broome. Also unable to show, Swartley chose to sell his lambs through the Foundation’s auction.
